The whole policy

This site sets no cookies. That is why you were not asked to accept anything when you arrived.

Why there is no banner

Under the EU rules on cookies, consent is required when a site stores information on your device or reads information already stored there. We do neither, so there is nothing to ask you about. The banner you see on most sites exists because they chose tools that need one.

We would rather not interrupt you, and there is a second reason that is worth being honest about: consent banners distort a site's own traffic data, because only the people who click "accept" get counted. Choosing a tool that does not need consent gives us numbers we can actually trust.

What we use instead

Cloudflare Web Analytics. It counts visits without cookies, without storing anything on your device, without fingerprinting your browser and without tracking you across other sites. We get aggregate numbers — how many people read a page, roughly where they came from — and nothing that points at you.

What your browser does on its own

Your browser may keep this site's pages and stylesheet in its ordinary cache so they load faster next time. That is standard browser behaviour rather than something we set, and you can clear it from your browser settings whenever you like.

If this ever changes

If we ever add something that does set cookies, this page will say so and a proper consent mechanism will appear before any such cookie is set. We are not going to quietly add trackers and leave this page saying otherwise.
